Abstract

This article aims, firstly, to contextualize, developing the memory of Religious Education in the State of Espírito Santo. Then, we reflect on the curricular references for Religious Education, indicating the year, the people responsible for its development and publication and information pertinent to its production. We analyze aspects that are convergent with the curricular orientation of the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC), verifying the specificities/advances of the Religious Education curriculum of the State of Espírito Santo with the curricular proposal of the BNCC. We indicate, in the conclusion, important elements so that readers can perceive and understand the characteristics of the curriculum for the Religious Education Curricular Component in the state of Espírito Santo. The methodology used is qualitative, bibliographic and documentary, with emphasis on the analysis of the curricular reference (2020) and the curricular guidelines (2025).
