O Ensino Religioso no Rio Grande do Sul: um referencial para as escolas gaúchas

Abstract

This article provides a brief presentation of the texts of the Rio Grande do Sul Curricular Reference for Religious Education in Elementary and High School. With a brief introduction, the text aims to contribute to the knowledge of the RCG and to encourage the reader to delve deeper into its reading. The state of Rio Grande do Sul has many specificities: in High School, for example, it is constitutionally required to offer it; however, without a state regulation defining its status in the curricular organization of High School, it ended up being integrated into the Area of ​​Applied Humanities and Social Sciences. In Elementary School, it is recognized as an Area of ​​Knowledge that composes with the other areas a whole for the integral education of the student. Without being able to delve into the issue in depth, the article reflects on the importance of Religious Education in the curricular organization of the basic school of RS, presenting the history of the construction of the RCG and its applicability in the school context.
