The Secular Franciscan Order is characterized by the union of Local Fraternities open to women and men who wish to follow Christ from Franciscan Spirituality. One of the purposes of Secular Franciscan Spirituality is respect for other creatures, animate and inanimate. Our article aims to investigate in which ways the formation of the Secular Franciscan dialogues with Integral Ecology, proposed by Pope Francis. The Francis Movement has been building over the centuries an eco-spirituality, as a way of being and acting in relation to Creation, a privileged spirituality for the elimination of the biodiversity crisis. Our methodology consisted of a critical reading of the documents of the OFS regarding Formation. Our conclusion is that although the formation of the Secular Franciscan does not fully contemplate formation for integral ecology and ecological conversion, the OFS has carried out actions and reflections that enable each of the professed to engage with EcologyDownloads
