A IURD e seus heróis

Resumo

A proposta deste artigo é analisar o ethos discursivo no gênero Testemunho Religioso utilizado pela igreja Universal do Reino de Deus na mídia. Com a migração desse gênero da tradição oral para a mídia, sua estrutura narrativa passou por uma (re)configuração, tendo em mente a adaptação ao novo suporte e aos objetivos de comunicação, já que esta mudança de suporte também representa uma passagem da comunicação interpessoal para a mediada. Esse distanciamento entre enunciador e enunciatário impossibilita qualquer construção pré-discursiva que possa validar o ethosdo enunciador. Para investigar esse processo de construção discursiva, esta pesquisa adota como pressuposto teórico metodológico a Análise do Discurso de linha francesa, selecionando como corpus os depoimentos que a Universal mantém em sua página na internet: www.eucreioemmilagres.com.br. Constatou-se que o fio condutor da narrativa nos testemunho é estruturado para descrever a jornada de um herói, atribuindo aos depoentes um ethos discursivo do herói.The purpose of this paper is to analyze the discursive ethos in the genre Religious Testimony used by the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God in the media. With the migration of this genre of oral tradition to the media, its narrative structure underwent a (re)configuration related to theadaptationto the new supportand communication objectives, sincethis change in supportisalso a passage from interpersonal communication to the mediated one. This gap between enunciator and enunciate makes any pre-discursive construction that can validate the ethos of the enunciator impossible. In order to investigate this process of discursive construction, this research adopts as methodological theoretical assumption the French Analysis of Discourse, by selecting as corpus the testimonies on Universal website: www.eucreioemmilagres.com.br It was found that the thread of the narrative in the testimony is structured to describe the journey of a hero, giving the interviewees a discursive ethos of the hero.
